Just an Ode to Energy
Contents
I’d like to close with an Ode to Clean Energy. Too often we hear “power is power”. And yes… the vacuum cleaner is not going to do its job any better if you put it in an IsoTek Titan V5. Although other devices will again be less affected by the noise from the vacuum cleaner…. although other noises will disturb you listening experience we guess… but we digress.
The reason we are writing this extra chapter is very simple: we have been playing without ‘our’ IsoTek Titan EVO3 for a year. During that time we also started to remodel the listening room and basically forgot what this device does. And although the renovation has made the room sound really good, we always had the feeling that something was missing. Something wasn’t quite right. Something we once did have. And after connecting these IsoTek Titan EVO3 and V5 we knew what it was…. bass foundation. Calmness. A black background. It’s the thick dot on the ‘i’.
The Bryston 4B SST3 and the IsoTek Titan are just kind of soulmates. It really completes the system. Is this an exaggeration? No. It isn’t. Clean energy is a must for any decent system. Don’t shortchange yourself. Just give it a try.
What was the setup exactly? Did you connect only the poweramp to Titan or everything?
Only the power amp… The Titan is not build for sources.
