Kora TB140

Initially, things don’t go well. The low end is a bit soft and dull. That’s weird. This was what colleague Martijn heard when he tested the Driade Model 2S. So what’s the problem? Turns out Kora amplifiers don’t like filters. So we quickly unplug the Powerquest and the Kora goes straight into the wall. Now we’re talking! What a difference. If you have a Kora or are considering a purchase. Don’t plug it into a conditioner or power strip with filtering.

The Kora TB140 replaces a Bryston 4B³ and a Benchmark HPA4. A Sonnet Hermes sends the signal via I2S (Ethernet) to a Sonnet Morpheus. The Morpheus goes into the TB140 and from there it goes to the Revels. A pure and simple system. Just the way we like it!
