Measurements and conclusion

Contents

So Lake People is German. And if we then generalize for a moment: we see that in the measurements (apologies for the yellow line on white background: something went wrong with the exports. Normally the line is green).

How tight these measurements are! And 100% what Lake People themselves say. Noise floor of -122dB? Yep… we measure that too. Frequency response is straight (really straight), distortion is extremely low (on average 0.025% over the entire audible audio band). And what is nice: the noise on the power supply side is also very low. No junk to be seen there as well.

Conclusion

What a cool little device. Yes: it is limited in terms of connections. And it doesn't come with a remote or any other bling-bling. But what it does, it does very well. And that is to amplify a signal as cleanly as possible for some nice headphones. Looking for something purist? Looking for something solid? Something honest? Check out Lake People... Alpha Approved!
