In this price range we come in pleasant company. Think of the new Hegel H120, Moon 240i, Atoll IN300 and even a Nad M10. Striking is that they all have digital inputs and that is of course the Achilles heel of the Naim Nait XS 3. Where a lot of manufacturers implement both, Naim resolutely chooses to offer a puristic amplifier and that did them no harm!
Naim has been proving for years that there is a market for a high-quality analogue integrated amplifier, preferably in combination with one of their own digital sources. We were able to see for ourselves that the synergy between their products is good. Importer Latham Audio had namely the ND5 XS 2 streamer with which Mr. Jaap recently very positive. Together they form a formidable duo that plays at a high level!
