For whom

Contents

If you have a small listening room and are looking in this price range, the Neat Petite Classic is a no-brainer. You can “tune” it a bit according to your space, you can put it anywhere and it is unobtrusive in appearance. This is a speaker for someone who likes fast transients and lots of detail. Someone for whom it can splash and sparkle

Conclusion

You don't expect it. That such a small speaker produces so much sound. As such, the Neat Petite Classic is a so-called "overachiever. A speaker that really shouldn't sound that good. The team at Neat Acoustics clearly knows how to make a speaker. The Neat Petite Classic produces a catchy sound that is addictive. You just keep listening to it. What more could you want. You have to put some effort into it but when your set is up to par you are richly rewarded. Whether the Neat Petite Classic becomes a true "classic" time will tell but for now it is already a reference in its price range.

  1. Hi, having read this review and watched your multi test video on youtube, it seems that these are tremendous speakers. I know it’s been a while since you reviewed them but can you recall if they sounded good at lower volume levels as well? Thanks in advance for any reply.

  2. Saw the multi-comparison on your channel that included the Neats. Really well done comparo!! Wondering if these would still work well with a sub even though they dig as deep as they do. Considering these for a 10x14ft space.

    • Hi John. You have to have a very fast responding sub to keep up with the Neats. I would suggest trying them without a sub first, it might be sufficient, especially when they are close to a wall. If not, you can always add one. It will be hard work to get them neatly (yeah, that’s a pun) integrated, but it can be done.
