This is a textbook example of a loudspeaker tweaked for listening. Everything’s right as soon as we measure at the listening position. Rarely have we seen a loudspeaker perform so well when measured at the listening position. No drops, no bumps, tight. Impressive. And so it is audible at rest and in definition. This Revel Performa M126Be really feels balanced… In addition, he performs off-axis in an unprecedented way.
Distortion is good from about 50 Hz, which makes sense as the frequency range of the Revel Performa M126Be runs from about 50 Hz – 44 kHz. We see in the measurement Straight – 1 meter – that around 50 Hz the distortion is around 1% and quickly dives below it. The Beryllium tweeter stays around 0.2%, which is very nice.
Pulse behaviour is fine. Please note that we always measure some room acoustics as soon as we head towards the listening room. Basically, the Revel is very fast. In terms of measurements, it is on par with other brands’ monitor speakers in the top-end league.

Conclusion
This is a set of monitor speakers you have to try at home. Hearing is believing. We're deeply impressed by these little fellas. There is a difference between these Performa M126Be speakers and monitors used in the sound studio. The Revels are very precise, fast and spacious. So are studio monitors. The Revels are hi-fi speakers that present the sound beautifully, so you can enjoy the music at home at where the listening position is at a distance of about 3 meters from the speakers. Studio monitors are professional tools that are used to detect and solve flaws in the mix, often in e near field setting (listening position ± 1 meter from the speakers). Presenting sound too nice is what a studio monitor shouldn't do. These Revels know how to connect these qualities; they sound fast, precise, 3D; and they let us enjoy the music.
