The Test Setup

We are testing the Rotel Michi S5 and P5 on our Focal Sopra No1 speakers. As source we use the Metrum Acoustics Ambre. Cables come from Grimm Audio (TPM), Audioquest (Oak speaker, NRG1000 power cable and Diamond Coax). We played both with and without filters. With power filtering was significantly better, so in the end we left the Isotek Titan EVO3 and Kemp PowerStrip Plus in. Finally we also played the Metrum Acoustics Pavane to test the analog inputs.
As source material, we’ve played both from our NAS and Tidal. All this with Roon without filters.
