The installation of the Teufel Ultima 20 Kombo is simple. Unplug the receiver from the wall outlet, tighten the speaker wires in the terminal and then reconnect them to the speakers. We were going to put the speakers on tripods. On a bookshelf the chance of resonances is very high.
Finally, you can push the bluetooth dongle in the back of the receiver to activate it.
Operation
The operation is simple. Switching inputs, adjusting volume and starting and stopping playback are all done with dedicated buttons. Both on the device and on the remote control. Kid can do the laundry.
Play
We warmed up the set as well – and let it play in. It’s necessary. Especially with new speakers. The rough edge is gone. Also in this case.
Now, this set will never win the Award for Refinement. But the fact is: for 399 (or 899 in the case of the floor-standing set) it’s certainly not wrong. We have used both cd and bluetooth. And honestly, both just sound fine. Does it get you by the throat? No. Does it just play well? Yeah.
If you like to play at the party level, we don’t recommend that. The set does skid at higher levels. We hear compression in both the speaker and amplifier.
