For whom

First and foremost, these monoblocks are not only for people who already know, follow or own Sonnet and Metrum. They are also an ideal solution for someone who wants to connect a dac with volume control directly to a power amplifier. And perhaps for someone who wants to build a system that doesn’t take up too much space. Or for someone who wants to venture into mono power amplifiers but doesn’t want to install two giant amps.
The Kratos are also for someone who is interested in special technology and curious about different schematics that the designer has applied here. Someone who looks a little further than the beaten path. In any case, these modest power amplifiers are of a high standard and should be on any shortlist if you are looking for something in this price range
Comparing
Our Moon integrated amplifier, as already mentioned, places music a bit more backwards. This also makes you as a listener lean back a bit more when you listen. The Moon sounds a bit more robust and clear and has more ‘balls’ and control. More power, too. Music disappears completely and music sounds relaxed and refined. The Kratos counters with a more nimble playback and even better intelligibility and transparency. ‘Horses for courses’ so to speak.
