Wharfedal Linton Heretage

Wharfedale is one of the oldest speaker brands in the world. Most brands are between 40 and 50 years old: Wharfedale was founded in 1932! That’s right: 88 years old! The Linton is one of their first successful models. And to celebrate its 85th anniversary – at the time of launche of the Linton Heritage -, a Heritage model of this iconic loudspeaker was launched.

Of course, this Heritage-model is not the same as the first Linton. Everything has been modernized. In fact, we estimate that no screw has remained the same. What still exudes ‘retro / vintage’, is the look.

We were able to see a Mahony and a Walnut. Both look very nice. By the way, know that there is a left and right speaker. This is because of the tweeter placement and the corresponding radiation behaviour.

Unfortunately we didn’t have the corresponding stands. Our stands are too high in combination with the seat height. With some creativity we were able to listen in a decent way by the way.

The full review will follow. But to give you an idea: here is a video review of the Wharfedale Linton Heritage.
