Endemol Shine brings a catalog of content to streaming service Plex (and more). You can expect a lot of well-known titles there.
For the time being, (part of) the Endemol Shine catalogue is only planned for the UK, USA, Canada. Australia, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. In view of the fact that a large number of European countries are already involved, there is a chance that the Netherlands will eventually be added as well. What the lucky inhabitants of these countries will be able to see in any case are well-known titles like Anthony Bourdain, Parts Unknown, Bananas in Pyjamas, City Homicide, Deal or No Deal, MasterChef, McLeod’s Daughters, Mr Beam and Peaky Blinders.
Free and paid
Again: for the time being(?) the Endemol Shine catalogue is not available in The Netherlands. But in any case it is good to see that content traditionally intended for television is becoming more and more available via streaming platforms. Kasia Jablonska – head of digital distribution and sales at Endemol Shine says she is very pleased with the launch of yet another partnership that shows the enormous popularity of their catalogue.
Plex is available in various forms, including apps for mobile devices. In the basic version the service costs nothing at all, via a Plex Pass you add extra functionality for an amount of $4.99 per month (paying on an annual basis is even cheaper: $39.99 per year). A lot of content – including a range of films – is now available.
