French company Elipson has released the brand new spherical all-in-one speaker W35+, a true space saver!
The W35+ Elipson can be placed anywhere in the house. Despite its modest size, a neat stereo sound comes out of it. A pair of 6.5 inch mid-low-drivers assisted by a silk dome tweeter in a proprietary redesigned enclosure produce the sound waves. A class D power amplifier delivers a maximum RMS power of 350 watts to them. An ethetnet connection allows you to link the tiny globe to a network, for streaming options. An S/PDIF optical input and analog input (3.5 mm minijack) are present too. Wireless, the Elipson W35+ can handle Bluetooth including aptX HD. If you use the speaker in solo mode you can play hi-res files via WiFi; in multiroom configuration up to CD quality. The well-known music services are supported, or use your own music collection. The newcomer costs approximately $1125; a matching stand costs $185.
