Sonos is working hard on its own smart assistant, which you’ll soon be able to activate – at least in the U.S. – with a ‘Hey Sonos’.
Officially, Sonos hasn’t released anything about ‘project smart assistant’. But the rumor mill has now grown to such proportions that it’s almost inevitable that it’s coming. Soon even, it seems. On June 1, the function should be present in a new update that is then being rolled out by the manufacturer in the US. After that – with unknown timetable – the rest of the world will follow. Sonos Voice – as it is called in the corridors – should work with Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, Deezer and, of course, the home ‘radio channel’. More will undoubtedly be added later, such as the initially missing Spotify and YouTube Music.
