The latest software update for Sonos speakers has annoying consequences for some of its users: stuttering sound.
If you are using a Sonos speaker that runs the most recent firmware update (14.6) and is used in surround configuration, you will probably experience stuttering sound while listening. This is particularly the case with the Beam Gen 2 and (or) Arc. The problem starts as soon as users switch sources and/or audio codecs. Some only experience stuttering for a short time, but after that the surround speakers or subwoofer appear to be out of phase. Sonos – after first denying the problem – has now promised to work hard on a solution. So keep an eye on the updates for your Sonos speakers in the near future.
