Sonos stopped asking for refunds on speakers accidentally ‘oversold’ in the US, which is good news for the lucky recipients.
We recently wrote that, thanks to an upgrade error, Sonos accidentally sent customers in the US (sometimes way too) many speakers than ordered. With the caveat that American legislation states that these kinds of ‘gifts’ can no longer be reclaimed. If you do reclaim as a company, you even run the risk of fines. To our European ears this undoubtedly sounds a bit strange, but that’s how it is. Chances are, the surplus speakers there will soon appear on rugs at some garage sales.
