Mercedes is implementing Apple Spatial Audio in new models, spearheaded by the EQE executive saloon.
The EQE executive saloon not only gets the scoop as far as Apple Spatial Audio is concerned, it is also Mercedes’ first all-electric SUV. The spatial sound including Dolby Atmos won’t just stay with this car; others are planned as well. More precisely, including the EQE SUV, AMG EQE SUV, EQE, EQS SUV, EQS, SL, S-Class and S-Class Maybach. These will use existing and integrated Burmester 3D and 4D sound systems. Nice detail: Universal Music Group allows artists to tune and finish their sound in a Mercedes. In that case, a track or album is labeled ‘approved in a Mercedes-Benz’. Finally, the Mercedes cars are the first ‘devices’ that can autonomously use Apple Spatial Audio as non-Apple devices.
