The Bluesound Node has received an upgrade from the manufacturer, with three new models now available for your selection.

The Bluesound Node streamers have been refreshed, introducing three new iterations to the series. Firstly, there’s the entry-level Node Nano, then the standard Node, and finally, the flagship Node Icon. The latter features a dual-mono DAC design based on a pair of ES9039Q2M SABRE DAC chips. Additionally, this top model includes a built-in low-noise power supply, which is said to deliver clear, dynamic sound with minimal distortion. This model also features a 5-inch display.

Nano and ‘standard’

At the other end of the spectrum is the Bluesound Node Nano, the entry-level model that comes with an attractive price tag. This streamer is ideal for those taking their first steps into the world of streaming. D/A conversion is handled by an ESS ES9039Q2M SABRE DAC, the same chip also found in the standard Node, which we’ll discuss shortly. It’s a perfect device for upgrading an old hi-fi setup with streaming capabilities. The middle-tier Node utilizes a single ESS ES9039Q2M SABRE DAC chip and, like the top model, includes a built-in low-noise power supply.

All new Bluesound Node devices are compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth with aptX Adaptive. They also effortlessly play music from popular streaming services like Tidal, Amazon Music, and Spotify. The maximum audio quality supported is 24-bit/192 kHz and DSD up to DSD256. The Node Nano is priced at €349 (available immediately), the Node at €599 (available from September 24), and the Node Icon at €1099 (available from October 17).
