Some images don’t need any textual clarification. They just need music! Our goal is to make samples of as many products as possible. Purely because, in our opinion, it can be fun and useful to just listen to equipment. This time: The Technics SU-R1000 versus the Pass Labs and Bryston combination. Of course on the reference system: the Focal Sopra No1 and the Metrum Acoustics Ambre. Some advice: put on nice headphones for best results. Tracklist:

Ik heb de Flac files aandachtig vergeleken en het vraagt heel wat inspanning om de beide opstellingen uit elkaar te houden, wat zeer positief is voor Technics SU-R1000 gezien dit voor de helft van de prijs is van de Pass Labs XP-12 met Bryston 4B SST3.
Uiteindelijk levert de Pass Labs – Bryston toch een rustiger en voller, dieper klankbeeld.
Zoals gewoonlijk!
De Technics geeft de hoge tonen iets frisser, althans dit is mijn bevinding.
De kostprijs van de Pass Labs is ongeveer deze van de Technics wat het een en ander verklaart.
