We have the extraordinary Aretai Contra 100S monitor in our listening room. Again a brand that we did not really know, but which turns out to be very special. This monitor was also present at the Dutch Audio Event where it also received high praise. And rightly so…
Aretai is a fairly young brand from Latvia. Nice and very northern on our little planet. And it seems like the northern brands go for a somewhat more neutral sound than their southern counterparts. Indeed, the Aretai has a very “studio” feel to it…. neutral, layered and insightful. Anyway. Before we spoil everything: check out the video!
